4th Place – London Borough of Barnet

Inspiration for Barnet’s entry, ‘Marching As One’,  came from the traditional era of Barnum & Bailey Circus and the recent Hollywood hit, The Greatest Showman.

The North London Borough enlisted the help of the Susi Earnshae Theatre, The Bull Theatre Barnet, Incognito Theatre Company and the D20 Dance Company, as well as former Mayor of Barnet, Cllr David Longstaff. The entry was packed full of local talent including, singers, dancers and a variety of other performers. Tradition was at the heart of their entry and it succeeded in impressing the judges, as they were voted 4th best Borough, winning £7,000 for the mayor’s charity Homeless Action Barnet.

The Borough ‘s entry was a brilliant celebration of diversity and the variety of local talent. The Mayor’s chosen charity, Homeless Action in Barnet, was set up to provide much needed support for those sleeping rough in the local area and every penny of the £7,000 prize will go to a fantastic cause.

We would like to thank everyone from the London Borough of Barnet, that took part in LNYDP 2018, and congratulate them on their success.
